What's the ROI of Investing in Better Church Technology?
Church technology does not have ROI in exactly the same way a new manufacturing machine does.
That doesn't mean you can't evaluate whether the investment is worthwhile.
Look at what the investment improves
Ask what the technology improves.
Does it make speech easier to understand? Does it eliminate technical distractions? Does it make the volunteer team more consistent? Does it make the online service usable?
Does it reduce setup time? Does it allow equipment to be operated by more people instead of one expert? Does it solve recurring failures?
Those are real returns.
One of our favorite outcomes is when a complicated system becomes simple enough that volunteers stop being afraid of it.
That's difficult to put into a spreadsheet.
It is still valuable.
