How to Fix Common Projection Problems in Churches

A dim projector isn't always a bad projector.

Start by looking at the entire system.

Check the whole projection system

Is the projector producing the expected output? Is the correct picture mode selected? Is there too much ambient light hitting the screen? Is the screen appropriate for the room?

Is the signal reaching the projector at the correct resolution? Are there cable or extender problems? Is the projector physically aligned correctly?

Projection is especially sensitive to environmental light.

If a church adds brighter stage lighting or opens windows that were previously covered, a projection system that once looked acceptable may suddenly struggle.

Sometimes the solution is service. Sometimes it is better light control.

Sometimes the display technology genuinely needs to change.

Identify which problem you have before ordering another projector.
