Should Churches Use Wireless or Wired Microphones?
Use wireless microphones when mobility provides meaningful value.
Use wired microphones when it doesn't.
Use wireless where movement matters
Wireless is incredibly useful for pastors, vocalists and anyone who needs to move freely around a platform.
It also introduces additional failure points: Batteries. RF coordination. Antennas. Receivers. Transmitters. Interference.
A wired microphone is beautifully boring.
Plug it in and it generally works.
That's why we don't automatically make everything wireless.
For a stationary drum microphone or guitar cabinet, a cable is usually a pretty reasonable thing.
Choose wireless intentionally, not because cables feel old-fashioned.
