How to Set Up a Church Streaming Studio
Before building a separate streaming studio, decide whether you actually need one.
For most churches, improving the production of the primary worship space should come first.
But if your church regularly records teaching, devotionals, podcasts, announcements or other online content, a dedicated space can be incredibly useful.
Make recording easy to repeat
Start with sound.
A beautiful studio in a reflective room still sounds like a reflective room.
Address acoustics. Choose microphones that fit the content. Build repeatable lighting.
Create a camera position that doesn't require rebuilding the room every time somebody records.
Make operation easy.
The best studio is not the one with the most equipment. It's the one people will actually use.
If recording a five-minute video requires forty minutes of setup, people eventually stop recording videos.
Design around repeatability.
