How to Prepare Your Church Building for AVL Installation
The best time to talk about AVL is before the electrician finishes.
Actually, earlier than that.
If you are building or renovating, involve the AVL team while drawings can still change.
Coordinate AVL with the building plans
Think through conduit. Electrical circuits. Network infrastructure. Equipment-room cooling. Rigging points. Camera positions.
Speaker locations. Control positions. Projector throws. Display backing. Stage boxes. Floor pockets. Future expansion.
We have seen churches spend significant money fixing problems that would have cost very little to address during construction.
The AVL drawings should not be created in isolation either.
Audio, video and lighting interact with architecture, electrical, structural, HVAC and interior design.
Get everybody talking early.
It may not be the most exciting meeting in the construction process.
It can be one of the most expensive meetings to skip.
