Can Small Churches Afford Professional AVL Systems?
Updated: Oct 12
Professional doesn't have to mean expensive.
It should mean appropriate, reliable and intentional.
A small church probably doesn't need the same equipment as a 2,000-seat church.
It also shouldn't be forced into unreliable consumer equipment simply because the congregation is smaller.
The goal is scaling correctly.
Spend money on the places where failure matters most.
Use good infrastructure.
Choose equipment that volunteers can operate.
Avoid buying features you won’t use.
And when possible, build a system that can grow without requiring you to throw everything away later.
Sometimes the smartest small-church solution is extremely simple.
That's not a compromise.
That's good design.
